Ferrero Second Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2009/2010

The second CSR Report of the Ferrero Group introduces the global sustainability strategy, developed in 2009-2010, and the objectives set for 2020.

Among the 10 goals to be reached:

  • the development of self-production energy capacity to cover the needs of European plants 30% of which from renewable sources with consequent reduction of CO2 emissions;  
  • 20% reduction of water consumption per production unity;  
  • 100% of cocoa, palm oil and coffee supply certified as sustainable.
The Report also highlights the adoption of the new Code of Business Conduct of the Group, inspired by Ferrero Company Principles.

The Report was edited in conformity with GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) parameters and an independent revision was carried out by Deloitte.
